Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement RESTful APIs and GraphQL endpoints
- Maintain and optimize database schemas (PostgreSQL, MongoDB)
- Deploy and monitor services on cloud platforms (AWS, Azure)
- Write efficient, scalable, and secure backend code
- Implement authentication, authorization, and security best practices
- Optimize query performance and database indexing
- Build and maintain microservices architecture
- Set up CI/CD pipelines and automated testing
- Monitor application performance and troubleshoot issues
- Collaborate with frontend developers and product team
Qualifications & Skills
- 5+ years of backend development experience
- Expert knowledge of Node.js, TypeScript, and Express/Fastify
- Strong experience with SQL and NoSQL databases
- Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
- Knowledge of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Understanding of microservices and event-driven architecture
- Familiarity with message queues (RabbitMQ, Kafka)
- Experience with testing frameworks (Jest, Mocha)
- Strong understanding of API design and security
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science
